These cases are intended to be used as education materials. There are intentionally no answers. The objective is to provide teaching and test cases where the radiographers cannot "look up the answers on the Internet ". This case can be answered at different levels from student radiographer to advanced radiographer practitioner or reporting radiographer.

This case is relatively easy case suitable for student radiographers
Presentation
This 51 year old lady has presented to the Emergency Department. She has been referred for ankle radiography with the following clinical information
"cerebellar spinal ataxia
frequent falls
twisted/fell on right ankle
uncontrolled increase in pain both malleolus"
Imaging
Is there any evidence of fracture(s)
Are there any soft tissue signs?
Is there any evidence of fractures?
Are there any soft tissue signs?
Is there any evidence of fractures?
Comment on any soft tissue signs, artifacts and normal variants
Is the anatomy distorted? If so, how and why did this occur?
