Lower four costal cartilages; linea alba; pubic crest; pectineal line
Intercostal n.; subcostal; iliohypogastric and ilioinguinal nn.
Compresses abdomen; flexes trunk; active in forced expiration

Transverse
Lateral one third of inguinal ligament; iliac crest; thoracolumbar fascia; lower six costal cartilages
