Zonography | Tomographic technique that depicts thick sections or zones of tissue by utilising tomographic angles of 10 degrees or less. |
zoster | (zos'ter) Acute inflammatory skin disease of nervous origin, causing tenderness, itching, and neuralgic pains; it is characterised by clusters of small vesicles on a reddish base following along course of a peripheral nerve; herpes zoster; zona; shingles. |
zygapophyseal | (zig"ap-of-iz'e-al) Of or pertaining to a zygapophysis or to zygapophyses. |
Zygapophyseal joints | (zig"ap-of-iz'e-al) Pairs of synovial facet joints between transverse processes in the spine. |
zygapophysis | (zIg"ah-pof'i-sis) Yokelike articular process; specifically, one of articular processes of neural arch of a vertebra. |
zygion | (zig'i-on) Point at either end of bregmatic diameter of skull. |
zygoma | (zi-go'mah) Arch formed by union of malar bone of face and zygomatic process of temporal bone of cranium. |
zygomatic | (zi-go-mat'ik) Of or pertaining to zygomatic arch or to malar bone. |
Zygote | (zi´g-ot) A fertilized egg cell formed by the union of a sperm cell and an ovum. |
