X-axis | The horizontal line of a graph. |
X-ray | Penetrating, ionising electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength much shorter than that of visible light. |
X-ray imaging system | An X-ray system designed for radiography, tomography, or fluoroscopy. |
X-ray quality | The penetrability of an X-ray beam. |
X-ray quantity | The output intensity of an X-ray imaging system, measured in roentgens (R). |
X-Ray spectrum | The relative distribution of different energies in a photon beam. See spectrum. |
X-ray tube rating charts | Charts that guide the technologist in the use of X-ray tubes. |
Xiphoid | Greek xiphos = a sword, and eidos = shape or form; hence, sword-shaped |
