Lower limb venous Incompetence (venous insufficiency)
Assess:
- Visible varicies / ulcers / skin changes
- Venous incompetence CFV / FV / Pop V / GSV / SSV
- Perforators
- Competence (reflux > 0.5 cm)
- Level, position and relation to varicosities
- Diameter of lumen as it crosses the fascia
- Level of junction of GSV / SSV
- Site of drainage of varicies
- Anatomical venous variants
Documentation:
- Spectral trace with distal augmentation CFV / FV prox / mid / distal
- Spectral trace with distal augmentation GSV at SFJ / prox thigh / mid thigh / distal thigh / mid calf
- Spectral trace with distal augmentation Pop V prox / mid /distal
- Spectral trace with distal augmentation SSV at SPJ / mid calf
- Perforator spectral trace with distal augmentation
- Perforator diameter measurement / distance from bony landmark
